My name is John Austen and my role at CRC for National Plant Biosecurity is Project Officer.

I am originally from Hobart and the thing I miss the most is eating fresh fish on the waterfront.

Living in Canberra is relaxing

My favourite or ideal holiday destination is the Canadian Rockies because of the amazing mountains and lakes.

In my spare time, I enjoy football umpiring and bike riding.

My favourite movie is Grand Torino because it demonstrates the transformation that is possible in people.

At the moment I am reading The Death of Dalziel by Reginald Hill.

If money was no option, I would fund a Tasmanian AFL team.

A quality I would most like to be remembered for is being good humoured.
